UGC Sponsored Career Oriented Courses

The college has a vision of offering courses of contemporary relevance and needs with a blend of modernity and tradition. It seeks to provide skills, knowledge and environment to students to develop scientific temper, imbibe social sensitivity and shape careers for betterment of the self and the society they live in.

In keeping with its vision, the college has started following UGC approved Career Oriented Certificate Courses. The courses are run parallel to the existing conventional B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. degree courses.

Diploma course in Wildlife Conservation

Duration: Two semesters (1 year)
Eligibility: Students who are perusing B.Sc. 5th/6th semester and who have passed the Bachelor Degree Course

Certificate course on Human Right Education

Duration: One semester (6 month)
Eligibility: open to all

The certificate course on Human Right Education (UGC funded) has been running since 2010-11. The syllabus of the course has been approved by Dibrugarh University. Regular seminars, talks and workshops have been organising periodically on this subject. Total 56 students appeared in the last exam and 51 passed the course. Important documents and relevant books in connection with the Human Rights Education have been providing to the students.

Under certificate course on Human Right Education, following activities were conducted during the session 2013-14:

Observed “Human Right Day” on 10th December 2013 in the college premises.
Organised seminar on “RTI Act and it implications” on 02/01/2014 and 20/01/2014.
Conducted field study programme on 14/02/2014 at No. 1 Tokoipather, Pengree.

Note: Information about admission into all these courses is notified in the college notice board. The courses shall be covered in tandem with the conventional university curriculum.
