Nayana Saikia, Dept. of English, Digboi College, has achieved a National Award. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, has declared National NSS Award 2020-21 on 16th September 2022. Miss Nayana Saikia has been selected for National NSS Volunteer Award for 2020-21. The Hon’ble President of India will confer her the Award at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 24 September 2022. Nayana has been awarded for her various NSS activities during 2018 – 2021 as a student of Digboi College. Digboi College fraternity is proud of her.
Her hard work and dedication have brought laurels to Digboi College as well as to the Dept. of English, Digboi College. Digboi College has 3 National Awards and 3 State Awards for selfless service to society through NSS. Jyotishman Moran and Amit Biswakarma of Digboi College have been decorated with NSS National Awards in the year 2018-19 and 2019-20 previously. Digboi College is the only institution under Dibrugarh University having 3 consecutive NSS National Awards.
